Woodinville Resident Volunteers at Nyumbani

February 2020 – Johnny Elmenhurst, a resident of Woodinville, Washington, and a recent college graduate with a finance degree was looking for an opportunity to volunteer in Africa with a charitable organization and he found one in his own “backyard”.  Johnny went to Nyumbani Village in January and in addition to spending time with the kids he helped out in several other areas in the Village including the farm and the polytechnic (trade school).  While at the Village Johnny created a program, with the polytechnic, to make a crucifix for each of the 100 houses in the Village.
